Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Assistant
Location: Leyton, East London
Circa 15ph
Mon - Fri 8am 5pm
3 month temp, possibly ongoing
Assistant Quantity Surveyor AQS / Commercial Assistant required for large housing maintenance specialist. Candidates should have experience of working to NATFED rates or other similar schedule of rates on a housing maintenance background.
Key Roles & Responsibilities.- Close coordination with the Quantity Surveying team
- Assisting preparation of site budgets
- Liaising with other departments including suppliers regarding commerical job completion.
- Financial/commercial administration duties, shadow calculation of material and labour costs
- Assisting with monthly and weekly cost reports
- Maintaining files and records
- Daily updating and management of costing spreadsheets on Excel and Access
Required skills
Excellent communication skills
Attention to detail
Excellent IT skills with high levels of numeracy and literacy
Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
This role would be ideal for someone with knowledge of NATFED 6.1 SOR's and or studying toward a Quantity surveying degree.
