Electronic Assembly Technician
Greenwich SE10
Ongoing Contract Role
£10 - £11.11 ph Depending on experience
We want to hear from skilled Electronics Technicians with experience in working with fibre-optics, to work in the exciting world of subsea telecommunication systems, building & maintaining the backbone of the internet!
As a Electronic Assembly Technician your duties will include;
- Using special test equipment Oscilloscope, Optical Switches, Optical Attenuators, Optical Power Meter and other evaluation tools.
- Able to read and understand mechanical drawings and technical product documentation
- Experienced with handling and cleaning of fiber optic cable, optical connectors and sensitive electronic andoptoelectronic components.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately
You must have at least 2 years electrical/electronic experience, an eye for detail and a steady hand for precision assembly work. As an Electronic Assembly Technician you should have a general technical and mechanical mindset and completely computer literate. Experience within testing would also be ideal.
Personal characteristics must include flexibility, adaptability, a self-starter requiring minimal direct supervision, able to work both individually and as part of a team, and able to interact and work well with employees and internal customers.
All work is undertaken at a manufacturing facility based in North Greenwich (SE10), a short distance from The O2.
Working as an Electronic technician, you MUST be able to get to site for a 6AM start and be open and flexible in regards to Night shifts and other shift patterns.
In return Electronic Assembly Technicians will learn new skills, have access to gym facilities, free parking and have regular daily paid tea breaks.
