Your role as an Electrician is to carry out repairs, maintenance, testing and inspection work. This work is within social housing, so relevant experience is needed. You must be able to test and inspect electrical installations in domestic properties in accordance with the 17th IEE wiring regulations.

Duties include:

• Maintain and repair electrical installations in accordance with the Regulations
• Comply with Company Health and Safety Policy, the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and other statutory legislation
• Delivery of electrical repairs and testing in both occupied and void properties
• Testing and inspecting (EICR’s)
• Remedial works following the tests (fixing what has been flagged up during the test)
• Re-wires (full house, bathrooms, kitchens)
• Adding new circuits (ring circuits, cooker, fans etc)
• Adding new sockets (minor re-wires)
• General re-active maintenance (changing sockets, light fittings etc)
• Fault finding
• Planned maintenance
• Boiler wiring (s and y plans)
• Fuse board swaps (new regulations have meant some old ones need to be replaced)

Qualifications/experience needed:

• City & Guilds (C&G) 2391 Inspection and Test or the equivalent
• 17^th Edition
• Able to test / fault find / and install on domestic properties
• Full UK driving licence
