Part Time Customer Service Manager
Location; East London
Fixed Term Contract- 12 Months
Working 20.25 hours per week- hours will be based over a 2 week pattern, as follows
- Week 1: 09.30-17.30 Thursday / 10.00-16.30 Friday
- Week 2: 10.00-16.30 Monday/ Tuesday/ Saturday and Sunday
Salary; £13,085 per annum
Responsibilities/Duties:
- To manage the Information Point and Customer and Mobility Service Volunteers team
- To provide administrative and marketing support to the Volunteer Management, as the programme expands
- To provide leadership, guidance and support to Volunteers and visitors to the Park, ensuring a consistently high service is maintained
- To take overall responsibility for the Volunteer team and Visitor Services at the Information Point
- To manage the rota for the Customer and Mobility Service and Community Guiding roles
- To deliver relevant training where necessary
- To work on new projects in an ever-changing environment
- To provide additional management cover for the delivery of Mobility Services on event days
- To assist in generating revenue via varied sources including hiring Park Mobility equipment, facilitating tours, selling merchandise and literature, etc.
- To provide general administrative support to the Manager and General Manager
- Maintaining a thorough knowledge of safety, emergency and evacuation procedures, leading staff in their application and providing appropriate training
- Ensuring all Mobility service equipment is checked and fully functional before service begins
- Devising and leading engaging and informative morning Volunteer briefings
- Able to support, manage and coach a large staff and Volunteer team within a busy, visitor-focused environment
- Direct experience of working with the general public on a face-to-face basis, in a customer services role
- Experience of working within, or in partnership with, the voluntary sector
- Experience of people management, including working with volunteers
- Good presentation and training skills
- Experience of cash-handling, ticketing and sales
- Able to remain calm and handle challenging situations confidently and sensitively
- Full, valid UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Degree or equivalent in relevant area
- First Aid at Work
- Fluent in a second language
- Experience / interest in working with people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
