Manufacturing Operative (Weekends)
Greenwich, SE10
Ongoing Long-Term Contract
Friday – Sunday (Please be aware there is 6-8 weeks of initial training which will be Monday – Thursday)
33 hours per week
£10.10 for 6 week training period on Weekdays
£13 - £14 once on weekend shift
(Days and Nights shifts – 10% uplift rate on nights)
The role is working in a busy manufacturing and production area, within a leading manufacturing company in a telecommunications based in Greenwich.
As an Manufacturing Operative you will be responsible for;
- Undertaking assembly processes, ensuring all ESD product disciplines are adhered to and products are built correctly and tested.
- Following engineering drawings to assemble the mechanical racking systems, sub assembly and wiring of all connections.
- Building, assembling and installation of modules that make up the suites.
- Rack wiring for all the panels connecting to each other as per drawing.
- Assembling different power supply units and installation of cubicles.
- Working on control panels, including complete wiring on the panels using crimp tools.
- Component and D-type connector soldering.
- Electrical/Prototype wiring.
- PCB building.
Hours of work (33 p/w)
Please note – Training will run Monday – Thursday, days and nights for the first 6 – 8 weeks before commencing weekend shifts – Please only apply if you are able to commit on this basis.
The successful Manufacturing Operative will be required to work shifts of both days and nights, on a 2-week rotation.
Days (2x weeks)
Friday: 06:00 – 17:45
Saturday: 06:00 – 17:15
Sunday: 06:00 – 17:15
Nights (2x weeks)
Friday: 18:00 – 05:15
Saturday: 18:00 – 05:15
Sunday: 18:00 – 05:15
For the successful Manufacturing Operative full training will be provided for this role, candidates who are interested will be invited to an assessment day to go through a Maths and English assessment and an instruction-based manufacturing test. We will go through the role in further detail and discuss the company.
