PCB Assembler
Greenwich, SE10
Ongoing Contract
42.5 hours per week
Working in a busy manufacturing & production area, for a large engineering site based in Greenwich, London, you will be reporting to your department Supervisor. These roles offer an opportunity to join a world renowned company, who are specialists in their field.
You will be part of a team of Electro-mechanical Assemblers that ensure efficient, safe and accurate assembly, soldering and testing of electronic coils and components. You will be responsible for the manufacture of high quality products for our external customers.
Previous experience would be beneficial and we're willing to invest training in suitable candidates looking to enter the electronics and fibre-optics industry.
MAIN DUTIES
- Populating printed circuit boards with surface mount and through hole components.
- Undertake assembly processes, ensuring all ESD product disciplines are adhered to and products are correctly built and tested.
- Liaising with other departments and Supervisors to ensure the timely build and transfer of your product.
- Following Engineering diagrams for sub assembly and wiring of all connections.
- Building, assembling and testing.
- High precision hand soldering
- Electrical Wiring
HOURS OF WORK (Vary dependent on department);
- Working on a 4 day rotating shift pattern of 2 weeks of DAYS & 2 weeks of NIGHTS
- The working week will be either Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday, depending on the department you will be working in.
- This would mean 6am starts for day shifts (finishing either 5.15pm or 5.45pm depending on the day) & 6pm starts for nights (finishing either 5.15am or 5.45am depending on the day).
