Starting Rates between £9-12 per hour

42.5 hours per week

We are recruiting a mixture of semi-skilled & skilled Technicians with transferable skills and experience gained in electrical, electronic and mechanical industries, to work on sub-sea telecommunications equipment.

Skills will be assessed at an initial assessment before forwarding successful applicants to team leaders for review.

Roles and responsibilities are varied across the different departments, and based on your skills and experience you may undertake the following tasks:

• Undertake assembly processes, ensuring all ESD product disciplines are adhered to and products are correctly built and tested.
• Following Engineering drawings to assemble the mechanical racking systems, sub assembly and wiring of all connections.
• Building, assembling and installation of modules that make up the suites.
• Rack wiring completed for all the panels connecting to each other as per drawing.
• Assembling different power supply units and installation of cubicles.
• Working on control panels, including complete wiring on the panels using crimp tools
• Component & D-type connector soldering
• Electrical/Prototype Wiring
• Fabrication
• Electronics assembly Inspection
• PCB Building
• Wiring the suites for test.

HOURS OF WORK

Working Monday - Thursday initially of a 2-week rotating shift pattern of 2 weeks of DAYS & 2 weeks of NIGHTS.

The working week will be either Monday - Thursday or Tuesday-Friday, depending on the department you will be working in.

This would mean 6am starts for day shifts (finishing around 5.45pm depending on the day) & 6pm starts for nights (finishing around 5.45am).
