We have an excellent opportunity to work within a Non -Profit making organisation based in East London .
The HR Manager leads the HR function providing support, challenge and drive of the organisation's people plans. Reporting directly into the MD leading a team of 3, including n HR BP and an HR Administrator.
Key Tasks and Accountabilities:
- Leading the HR function both strategically and operationally in all people related matters including (but not limited to):
- Employee relations
- Resourcing
- Learning and development
- Reward
Employee Relations
- Oversee provision of pragmatic HR guidance and support to the business based on policies and HR best practice whilst understanding and communicating any commercial risks and/ or benefits of proposed action
- Ensure HR matters are handled fairly and consistently in line with legal and company requirements
- Ensure HR policies are kept up to date and reflect legislative changes
- Deliver regular people management training and coaching
- Pro-actively develop initiatives to continually improve staff communication building positive relationships within the business
- Ensure the organisation is an equal opportunities employer
- Build understanding of trends in terms of people challenges and work with key business leaders to formulate pro-active and wide-ranging solutions
Resourcing
- Review and develop efficient and cost effective resourcing strategies to reflect best practice plus company and client goals
- Build informal succession planning processes to maximise internal development of the organisation's people
Learning and Development
- Ensure regular company inductions are held and attended by all new starters
- Embed Employee Development Review (EDR) processes to ensure effective development of individuals through the line management structure whilst understanding organisational development priorities to guide learning and development plans
- To maximise business focused learning and development opportunities
Reward
- Work with managers to manage staff costs effectively and enhance service delivery
- Manage the relationship between the internal team and the payroll provider
- Ensure adherence to and smooth processing of payroll via relevant systems
- To oversee preparation of regular and ad hoc management information reports, to support continuous improvement in the management and monitoring of sickness absence and performance management
- Oversee administration of pension provision across the business and manage projects as directed.
The apply for this role you will be required to hold either a Chartered CIPD membership or equivalent HR qualification , demonstrable ability to deliver HR solutions and pro-active initiatives that contribute to organisational goals , have a strong communicator with the ability to build productive working relationships.
