Gas quantity Surveyor

Location: Barking and Dagenham

Duration: Initially 3 months

£35,000-£40,000

Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Own Vehicle is required but fuel will be reimbursed

Our Client, a large and well-established maintenance firm who deal with social housing contracts are seeking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their gas team.

As a Gas quantity Surveyor, your duties will include;

  • Survey existing heating system within a social housing contract
  • Identifying requirements needed for new boiler replacement
  • Issuing a heating design drawing with heat calculation
  • General technical support for the gas heating installers based on the surveyor's design
  • Liaising with contractors, and sub-contractors

The successful candidate will have previous experience gained from working in a similar position and have the following skills:

  • A good knowledge of building industry practices, processes and requirements with emphasis on Gas work
  • Up to date knowledge of Health and Safety matters
  • Ability to communicate and interact with relevant stakeholders including clients and staff.
  • Ability to motivate direct resource and increase efficiency.
  • Demonstrate adaptability in meeting client needs.
  • Possess a good level of practical skill in the use of Microsoft Office packages and Company specific software.
