Our Client, a large maintenance company, are looking for a Carpenter and a FRA Carpenter to join their busy team and complete reactive carpentry works on a Social Housing contract.Duties include:
- This role consists of going into occupied homes to carry out repairs and maintenance on social housing properties
- Carry out various carpentry work as required in occupied properties
- Provide high quality, customer and quality focused service, delivering a range of carpentry and joinery jobs
Daily responsibilities:
- To carry out work as needed, make safe and repair as necessary in line with client's requirements
- Deliver works with high customer satisfaction and compliant to H&S practices while completing
- Ensure all customer queries are followed up accurately and provide support where possible
- Correctly complete work reports, certificates, compliance checks as appropriate using a PDA
Qualifications/experience needed:
- Up to 2 years' experience in Social Housing
- City and Guilds or NVQ 2
- DBS check will be required
- Driving Licence essential (manual)
- Previous Social Housing experience
- Good communication skills
For the FRA Carpenter:
- Experience installing fire doors and frames
- Experience upgrading and remediating existing doors and frames
- Experience working on Social Housing FRA contracts
- At least two years' experience working with fire doors
