Location: Hackney
Hours: 36 per week, 08.00 - 16.00
Contract Type - Temporary
Start - ASAP
Hourly Pay: £20.25

Our client, a large housing association, are looking for someone to join their busy team as a Painter & Decorator.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Carry out to the highest standard all aspects of painting and decorating and pre-paint repair works including a broad range of multi-skilled repair activities outside of the basic trade such as minor carpentry and plastering.
Provide outstanding customer service and excellent standards of performance to customers.
RESPONSIBILTIES:

• All types of internal and external painting and decorating work:
  • including chemical strip / burning off.
  • Specialist coatings such as two part anti graffiti, anti mould, fire retardant coatings, stains and wallpapering.
• Minor concrete repairs
• Mastic and sand cement pointing
• Resin repairs to joinery
• Ease and adjust doors & windows.
• Patch repair to wall and ceiling finishes.
• Specialist Cleaning of UPVC windows.
• Ease away electrical fittings in conjunction with other works and refix on completion.
• Deliver the highest level of workmanship in line with the current legislative standards, performance standards and in accordance with our Clients specifications and procedures.
• Work at heights (with appropriate training) from e.g. scaffolding, power cradle, ladders, mobile tower etc. and erect temporary work platforms.

Please note the successful candidate:

• Must have a valid UK driving licence

• Must have knowledge of health & Safety in the work place
• City and Guilds in NVQ Level 2 in Painting and Decorating & or relevant experience
• Will be put through a DBS check
• Overtime available
