Grounds Maintenance Operative Needed!
Location - Falmer
Up to £12.50 per hour
Monday to Friday (37.5 Hours a Week)
Contract/ Potential Temp to perm
An established Leading facilities maintenance company are expanding their team and looking for a grounds maintenance operative to work within a commercial site.- To maintain a range of sports surfaces to include football, cricket and rugby pitches
- To ensure that the playing surface is in as good a condition as possible.
- To be aware of how to maintain natural turf, synthetic turf or a combination of both.
- Clearing debris, rolling the ground and removing weeds.
- Accurately marking out the playing areas using special paint or tape.
- Erecting and putting up equipment like nets and posts.
- Maintaining surrounding areas, such as flower beds or areas of concrete and tarmac.
- Operating light and heavy equipment such as rotavators, sprinklers and shredders.
- Using hand tools such as rakes and spades.
- Applying fertilisers, weed killers and pesticides.
- Watering.
- To regularly cut lawns using assorted mowing machines with lawn edges to be neatly trimmed.
