Electronic Instrumentation Technician

Dover

Permanent position

Monday – Friday

37 hours per week

£20,000 - £27,500 depending on experience

The Instrumentation Technician role is working in a fast-paced manufacturing department for a multinational company in electrical test equipment.

This opportunity is testing and repairing instruments where faults are detected through testing in production cells.

As an Electronic Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out tests using test specifications,
  • Identifying faults to component level using appropriate test equipment,
  • Carrying out repairs to the required IPC standard,
  • Conducting cycle counting,
  • Finding faults in PCB’s and instruments from technical drawings/circuit diagrams,
  • Testing, fault-finding and repairing instruments and PCBs.

 

Skills required.

 

  • Higher National Certificate (HNC)/ Ordinary National Certificate or 5 years’ experience in the electronic industry.

 

Hours of work

Shifts are 37 hours per week Monday – Friday falling within the hours of 07:00 – 19:00.
