IT SUPPORT ENGINEER
Contract (Initially 3 months)
Greenwich, SE10
Working for a global Telecommunications company based in Greenwich, we are seeking to recruit an experienced IT Support Engineer to join the Helpdesk team, providing 1st and 2nd line support.
As the IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for resolving IT issues site-wide, via requests sent through to the Helpdesk.
The IT Support Engineer can also expect to provide formal and informal on the spot training relating to the use of PCs, operating systems and applications plus configure end-user PCs
Working on the helpdesk, the IT Support Engineer will process and prioritise incoming customer tickets and/or requests for assistance within agreed SLA's.
Programs and software applications the IT Support Engineer will need to be familiar with may include SAP, JIRA and sDMS..
Onsite duties may also include;
- Troubleshooting and fixing hardware/software issues.
- Small project-based installs of software and hardware.
- Managing backup tape changes with off-site storage.
- Network patching of switches and EUC equipment.
The IT Support Engineer must have a minimum of 2 years' experience working in an IT support role mainly focused on 1st/ 2nd line support.
You must also have experience in the following;
- Networking- patching, a basic understanding TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DNS and DHCP.
- Microsoft operating systems and applications including MS Office products, Adobe,
- iPhones, Android devices and Tablets configuration
- Anti-virus/anti-spyware knowledge
