Construction Site Manager
Based in Eastbourne
30k 40k per annum
Contract, approx. 18 weeks

As a Site Manager, you will have the responsibility in assisting the Project Manager in the implementation of a construction project refurbing external windows/apartments. The Site Manager will be responsible for the on-site health & safety, all aspects to ensure delivery, successful post contract planning, execution, monitoring, quality control and closure of the construction project.

Main Duties:

• Implement the delivery of the project with the construction management team at the pre commencement stage
• Manage the delivery during the construction phase through to completion
• Manage the day-to-day working, utilisation, implementation and technical consultants engaged on the construction project
• Manage the various Subcontractors and oversee their site operatives through the site Management Team
• Ensure the correct materials are ordered and delivered on time in the correct quantities to eliminate wastage
• Communicate the Client's work ethics and activities to colleagues, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and our clients, in our commitment to produce a high quality end product
• Provide written weekly and monthly site progress reports on projects to the construction management team weekly
• Maintain and update project reporting, checkpoints and financial reporting to a high standard
• Develop contacts with senior staff, directors, and other influential staff
• Co-ordinate required support levels and training
• Produce reports on each project at agreed intervals, and whenever substantive actions are required

Essential Requirements:

• SMSTS or SSSTS
• First Aid
• CSCS or ECS
