ForkLift Driver (Counter Balance and Reach)
£9.00-£10.00 per hour (plus holiday pay)
Greenwich
42.5 hours per week
An opportunity has arisen within stores department within an electronic manufacturing company as a forklift driver.
When there is a lack of forklift work available you would be asked to complete various repetitive tasks including stock counts, picking & packing and preparing kit for manufacturing departments.
You must have a valid Counter balance and Reach forklift license, not expiring within the next 8 months.
Responsibilities will also include, but are not limited to;
- Ensuring materials are receipted and available for storage and kitting, for production in an orderly and timely way.
- Assisting in the conducting cycle counts of stock and inventory on site in the stores area
- Interacting with material controllers and production staff on daily needs and issues.
- Working to team KPI's to control processes and key materials.
- General Picking and packing duties
- Use of the fork lift
Experience / Qualifications
- 5 year checkable work based history (ideally at least 3 years continuous)
- Must be able to demonstrate the capability of working in a pressurised, deadline driven environment
- You must have experience driving a fork lift and it is essential you hold a licence
- Good communication skills, verbal and written, are required.
- Computer literacy, with confidence in the use of standard computer packages, will need to be demonstrated.
- Must be physically fit enough to undertake repetitive picking & packing duties as standard.
Monday - Thursday: 7.00am - 5.00pm
Friday: 7.00am - Midday.
(With oppurtunities for overtime available)
