£9.00 ph (plus holiday pay)

An opportunity has arisen within the materials department of a multinational engineering company for an experienced Goods-Inwards Warehouse Operator who has a fork lift licence.
As a Stores/Warehouse Operator, you will be working across various areas of the Stores department. Jobs will include the receipting of all incoming goods into the bonded warehouse, specifically utilising in-house computer systems for all aspects of inventory control. (Training to be provided, however basic computer skills are essential)
Goods will be used for Production, so a meticulous approach is required, to ensure site plans and requirements are met.
You will be undertaking various repetitive tasks including stock counts, picking & packing and preparing kit for manufacturing departments.
The successful candidate will ideally have SAP experience, or similar systems based knowledge of the structural flow of processing an order through to production - however training can and will be provided for the successful applicant.
Responsibilities will also include, but are not limited to;
- Ensuring materials are receipted and available for storage and kitting, for production in an orderly and timely way.
- Assisting in the conducting cycle counts of stock and inventory on site in the stores area
- Interacting with material controllers and production staff on daily needs and issues.
- Working to team KPI's to control processes and key materials.
- General Picking and packing duties
- Use of the fork lift
Current work times are 42 hours per week, as follows;
Monday - Thursday: 7.00am - 5.00pm
Friday: 7.00am - 12:30pm
(With opportunities for overtime available)
