Maintenance Assistant
Location: Southall
Hours: 6am - 2pm, Monday to Friday- 37.5 hours a week
Pay: up to £22,000 per annum
Contract: Temp to Perm
Working for a leading Multi-National Facilities Maintenance company based on a newly refurbished school environment based within the Southall area. We are looking for a maintenance assistance to support the Premises Manager with the upkeep on site.
Maintenance Assistant Duties
- Assist in ad hoc maintenance of site, to include: Litter-picking, cleaning duties / organising cleaning staff, replacement of bulbs, resetting of circuit breakers, un-blocking of drains, fitting toilet seats, fitting shower curtain rails, fitting door handles, fitting locks, fit/ease and adjust door closers, re-hang/ease and adjust doors, minor repairs to skirting and floor boards, minor repairs to furniture, fit shelves, fit curtain rails, decorating -minor touching up disturbed timbers, ceiling, wall and door finishes.
- Check all metre readings and ensure they are recorded
- Check plant equipment control panels and report failures when necessary
- Top up salt levels and check water treatment
- Fire alarm checks - to include the panel, call points, fire doors and also the fire extinguishers, check of H&S signage,
- Complete inspection log, recording all findings
- Report damage to the helpdesk for maintenance to be booked
- Keep the building logs up to date, to ensure new install and parts are recorded as well as update certificates
- Keep a record of stick/consumables
- Ensure that contractors/subcontractor visits are recorded
