Location - Wembley
Temp to Permanent contract
Paying up to £40,000 per annum dependent on experience

MONDAY- FRIDAY- 8am - 5pm (flexibility required due to events onsite)
We are currently looking for a BMS Engineer working for a leading Facilities Maintenance company. The BMS engineer will be based on one large static site in Wembley.
General Duties:
- Ensuring technical matters relating to Control Systems, Plant and Equipment and Maintenance on the site follow Health, Safety and Environmental plus research specific legislative requirements.
- Manage the intelligent building control systems and associated equipment that support the efficient and compliant operation of the ICR. To be the owner and assurer of these systems and provide ongoing leadership and support to the maintenance teams to ensure optimum performance and reliability throughout their life cycle.
- Identify and agree system enhancements to improve resilience and performance, including proposing specifications with the Client for extra works and then liaise with prospective subcontractors and prepare quotation to be submitted to the client.
- Provide a Technical point of contact for the Client and Site Technical Staff while ensuring all planned and reactive works on the BMS system, control systems, stand-alone controllers, outstations, sensors and HMI's including energy and power management systems and lighting control systems are completed to the correct client and legislative standard.
- To monitor and assure the environmental controls within the building and in specialist areas conform to the required specifications and tolerances, including the review and analysis of alarm logs, leading to the diagnosis and rectification of any deviations at root cause.
- Develop and review alarm management protocols including critical alarm management procedures, reviewing key events including root cause analysis and appropriate response procedures and control measures.
- Ensure change control is applied to documentation, software and hardware and to develop methods of communicating changes to client and internal teams is robust and effective, advising Technical Staff of changes.
- Keep abreast of Engineering Developments and Technology advancements and how they could be implemented on the site.
- Liaise, as the controls systems expert, with site and client management during any emergency operations or procedures.
- Train and advise onsite staff regarding the BMS system.
- Plan, oversee and work with all subcontractors during service visits associated with the BMS and associated controls systems.
- Adaptable and able to undertake any other engineering task as required by the Site Supervisor or Contract Manager.
- Ensure that PPM and Reactive jobs are processed, and defects are diagnosed, and faults are repaired and testing.
- Responsibilities will also include being a member of the on-call rota for the contract.
Qualifications or Required Experience:
Preferably be an apprentice trained engineer who has recognised technical qualifications in Control Systems Engineering and preferably working towards Incorporated Engineering registration with an approved engineering body.
Significant industry experience in control and automation at technician/engineer level working in a critical environment reinforced with sound knowledge of Building Services (Power control, Electrical; AC; Boilers; Water Systems; Chillers; Generators; UPS's, etc.) with demonstrable complex problem solving skills.
Working knowledge of TREND BMS system and Integrated BMS systems, Simmtronics lighting control system and Dali Lighting System
IOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification.
Show diligence in safe working methods
Impart knowledge and safety training to all members of staff as required
Must be able to read and work to mechanical and electrical schematic drawings.
