Electrician required in Barking
3 Month Contract
£21p/h Ltd

Your role as an Electrician is to carry out repairs, maintenance, testing and inspection work. This work is for a local council, so relevant experience is needed. You must be able to test and inspect electrical installations in commercial building in accordance with the 17th IEE wiring regulations.
Duties include:
- Maintain and repair electrical installations in accordance with the Regulations
- Comply with Company Health and Safety Policy, the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and other statutory legislation
- Delivery of electrical repairs and testing in commercial buildings (schools, libraries etc…)
- Communal emergency lighting in flats
- Testing and inspecting (EICR's)
- Remedial works following the tests (fixing what has been flagged up during the test)
- Re-wires (full house, bathrooms, kitchens)
- Adding new circuits (ring circuits, cooker, fans etc)
- Adding new sockets (minor re-wires)
- General re-active maintenance (changing sockets, light fittings etc)
- Fault finding
- Planned maintenance
Qualifications/experience needed:
- City & Guilds (C&G) 2391 Inspection and Test or the equivalent
- 17th/18th Edition
- Able to test / fault find / and install on domestic properties
- Full UK driving licence
