- ElectricianBarking & DagenhamTemp to Perm£18 LTD per hourOur client is a building maintenance contractor who are looking for an Electrician to join their team. This is based in the barking & Dagenham area.For the time you are Temporary , you must supply your own vehicle and when you become permanent one is provided.Your role as an Electrician is to carry out the repairs and maintenance work within social housing properties. This is a full time role Monday to Friday , 8am to 4:30pm on a temporary to permanent basis.The duties that it will include would be:
- Maintaining and repairing electrical installations in accordance with the regulations
- Complying with company health and safety policies, the health and safety at work act 1974, and other statutory legislation's
- Delivering electrical repairs in both Domestic and on-site settings
- Remedial works
- Rewires (Full house , kitchen and bathroom)
- adding new sockets ( ring circuits, cookers , fans etc)
- Adding new sockets (minor rewires)
- General maintenance (light fittings changing sockets etc)
- Fault finding
- Planned maintenance
- Fuse board swaps( new regulations mean that some old ones must be replaced)
The qualifications and experience that you would need for this position would be :- 17th or 18th Edition
- Be able to fault find and install in domestic and commercial properties
- Have a full UK drivers licence
- Have social housing experience
