We are recruiting an experienced Industrial Engineer, to provide Industrialisation and manufacturing support to Power Feeding Equipment (PFE) product.
The PFE provides the line current to power undersea cable systems, generating High Voltage from a low voltage (48V) DC supply with a long system life and high reliability.
Your role as an Industrial Engineer will involve the industrialisation of the PFE Manufacturing test facilities and where agreed, design, development and commissioning of new facilities as required.
The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for the generation, preparation & documentation of manufacturing procedures as required, including specifications, schematics, test information and reports for industrial facilities.
As the Industrial Engineer, you must be confident in the Industrialisation and support of a product with these technologies:
- SMPS
- HV/low current (<3A) measurements, with insulation and galvanic isolation up to 20kV
- LV/high current (>500A) circuit design
- Closed loop control (analogue and digital)
- HV safety and interlock systems
Candidates applying for the role of Industrial Engineer will ideally possess experience in the following disciplines:
- Embedded control systems
- Interfaces (VME, RS422/485/232, CAN, USB, Ethernet)
- A to D and D to A techniques
- FPGAs & CPLDs
- MS Office tools
Ensuring that the manufactured product is satisfactory for :
- Performance over specified environmental conditions
- Target reliability/lifetime
- Manufacturability & testability
- Cost
Required Experience & Qualifications
Electrical and Electronics Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
Minimum 3 years' experience in relevant R&D, Industrial and/or manufacturing environment.
Good understanding of general electrical/electronic and mechanical engineering principles with expertise in the primary disciplines listed above.
