Trainee Assembler (Days/Nights)

£9 going to £10 after 12 weeks
42.5 hours per week
Working in a busy manufacturing & production area, for a large engineering company. These roles offer an opportunity to join a world renowned company, who are specialists in their field.
Working within a team of Technical Assembly Operators, Support Engineers & Team Leaders you will be responsible for ensuring efficient, safe and accurate building, testing and inspection of all built articles. You will be responsible for the manufacture of high quality products for our external customers.
MAIN DUTIES
- Undertake assembly processes, ensuring all ESD product disciplines are adhered to and products are correctly built and tested.
- Liaising with other departments and Supervisors to ensure the timely build and transfer of your product.
- Following Engineering drawings to assemble the mechanical racking systems, sub assembly and wiring of all connections.
- Building, assembling and installation of modules that make up the suites.
- Rack wiring completed for all the panels connecting to each other as per drawing.
- Assembling different power supply units and installation of cubicles.
- Working on control panels, including complete wiring on the panels using crimp tools
- Component & D-type connector soldering
- Electrical/Prototype Wiring
- Fabrication
- Electronics assembly Inspection
- PCB Building
- Wiring the suites for test.
- Provide a professional, courteous and efficient service to our internal customers.
- Work with team colleagues to ensure the workplace environment is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness, and complies with company and legislative standards at all times.
HOURS OF WORK
Working Monday - Thursday initially on DAYS, this will eventually convert to a 4 day rotating shift pattern of 2 weeks of DAYS & 2 weeks of NIGHTS.
The working week will be either Monday - Thursday or Tuesday-Friday, depending on the department you will be working in.
This would mean 6am starts for day shifts (finishing either 5.15pm or 5.45pm depending on the day) & 6pm starts for nights (finishing at 5.15am).
