Maintenance Manager

Location; Brighton (Falmer)

Salary up to £40,000 per annum based on experience

Monday - Friday- 40 hrs

Permanent Contract

Working for a leading Multi-National Facilities Maintenance company on an exciting Public Sector contract based in East Sussex, looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to be responsible for the statutory compliance for all buildings within the Campus as well as managing reactive workloads through the efficient use of self-delivery and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure statutory and contractual compliance for a portfolio of buildings within the academic area
  • Responsible for on site management of maintenance and reactive works using a team of specialist supervisors
  • Ensuring that productivity and performance levels are known and managed
  • Oversee the supervision of contractor activity on site ensuring all works carried out are covered by a safe system of work
  • Ensure that all safety messages and communications are delivered in a timely manner
  • Ensure that a robust training plan is in place and that all skills required are available across the team at all times
  • Ensure that a quality monthly report and any required adhoc reports are provided as dictated by the General Manager
  • Ensure that all logbooks and accompanying IT systems are kept to a high standard with all relevant information available at all times
  • Undertake quality audit of works in progress and completed (self-delivery and subcontracted)
  • Provide CAT reports on a monthly basis
  • Responsible for a maintenance budget including management of all overtime and spend
  • To promote the requirement to self-deliver including the continual review of subcontractors works both planned and reactive
  • Take control of ALL reactive works which are over the level of liability to scrutinise if they are fully chargeable.
  • Take control of monthly spend with wholesalers for equipment procured for in-scope works to validate if correct.
