Our Client is currently looking for a Decorator to cover a Social Housing contract.
Main Responsibilities for the Decorator;
Working in an interior and exterior environment
Handling planning and prep work in an efficient manner
Calculating the amount of materials and time required for said project
Preparing the surrounding areas by covering with cloth or plastic to prevent messes
Taping off areas as needed
Moving furniture and equipment as necessary to reach the entire surface of the project
Preparing surfaces - washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint
Mixing, matching, and applying paints and other finishes to various surfaces
Cleaning up supplies and replacing fixtures when project is complete
Requirements;
Up to 2 years' experience required
NVQ in a relevant field is desirable but not essential.
Working knowledge of site health safety procedures would be an advantage but is not essential.
Good eye for detail and be able to foresee any potential issues.
Previous social housing experience essential
Clean driving licence (manual)
You will be required to have a DBS check
