Medway - Mobile - Van and Fuel card
Full time, PermanentMonday to Friday - 39 hour week - overtime also available
£25k - £27k dependent on experience
We have an excellent opportunity for an Electrician who is needed to work full-time on a social housing contract based in Medway. The contract covers housing repairs and maintenance, so experience in this field is essential. You'll be part of the Responsive Repairs team working across our range of properties.
As an Electrician, your main duties will include;- Domestic repairs and maintenance on social housing properties
- Going in and making properties safe so that repaired maintenance can be booked
- Diagnosing electrical repairs
- Fixing small and minor electrical faults
- To carry responsive repairs to occupied and void properties regarding their electrics. Some maintenance and improvement electrical work, as allocated, including fault finding and remedial works as required
- To be fully conversant with NICEIC documentation, including electrical minor work certificates, EICR's and electrical installation certificates.
- To carry out minor carpentry and plumbing works when required
- To be included in the emergencies call out rota or cover when required.
- To work efficiently and be cost effective by ensuring the maximising of productivity in the role through ensuring the best use of time and materials
- The use of mobile technology in the receiving and completing of repair requests, embracing both new technology and the continuation of personal training and development as required by both the employer and the needs of current legislation.

In such circumstances appropriate training will be provided.
You'll need to have:
- C&G 17th Edition qualification (or have an equivalent electrical qualification)
- The ability to be part of the trade operative team carrying out electrical responsive repairs, taking a right first time approach
- Flexibility to go on the rota for the emergency call out service to customers
- The ideal candidate will have own tools to use.
