Our Client is currently looking for a Plumber or Carpenter to cover a Social Housing contract.
The post holder will undertake repairs and maintenance work in both occupied domestic properties. The successful Plumber or Carpenter be working from a from a PDA system where jobs will be allocated on a Reactive basis.
Duties for the Multi Skilled Carpenter and Plumber (Not limited to)-- Carrying out Carpentry works ie skirting boards, door hanging and work tops.
- Basic Tiling
- Basic Painting and decorating
- Basic patching up work
- Basic/ Generic Plumbing work
- All plumbing works within Domestic Dwellings
- Fitting of bathrooms/kitchens (all fixtures)
- Liaising with Tenants/ Residents
- Repair/maintenance/service on sanitary ware/showers/shower pumps/ toilets/ kitchen fixtures etc
- Ensure completed works are done to a High standard and reported back to site management
Required
- NVQ 2 in Carpentry or City & Guilds Qualification
OR
- 5+ years working experience as either a Plumber or Carpenter
Please note for this position a full UK Drivers Licence is required along with undergoing a DBS check. Previous Experience in the Social Housing sector is an advantage.
