Painter and Decorator
3 Month ContractCovering East London Postcodes
£20.00 PH
Our Client is currently looking for a Painter and Decorator to cover a Social Housing contract
Main Responsibilities for the Painter and Decorator;- Working in an interior and exterior environment
- Handling planning and prep work in an efficient manner
- Calculating the amount of materials and time required for said project
- Preparing the surrounding areas by covering with cloth or plastic to prevent messes
- Taping off areas as needed
- Moving furniture and equipment as necessary to reach the entire surface of the project
- Preparing surfaces - washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint
- Mixing, matching, and applying paints and other finishes to various surfaces
- Cleaning up supplies and replacing fixtures when project is complete
Desirable;- Up to 2 years experience required
- NVQ in a relevant field is desirable but not essential.
- Working knowledge of site health safety procedures would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Good eye for detail and be able to foresee any potential issues.
